Video Recorders

Choosing a video recorder is just as important as choosing the right camera. We carry 4 main types of video recorders. Stand alone DVRs are like VCRs in that they are self contained digital video recorders. They record video to a hard drive and are usually offered with several different hard drive sizes. PC based DVRs are computers dedicated to recording digital video. PC DVR cards are generally PCI cards meant to be installed in a home user's PC. In most cases, the PC then must be dedicated to the task of recording video. Finally, time lapse VCRs are videocasette recorders specifically designed for use with surveillance video cameras.
